What’s new to BannerSnack

Let’s see what you can find in the new BannerSnack app:

1. Subscription NOT needed for premium services; you can pay per banner now

Some months ago we launched a poll asking you to choose a pricing model for the future BannerSnack (and consequently for all SnackTools apps). The results looked like this:

As we can see, the pay per banner option is the most popular, so we had to find a way to make it available for our users. The answer was SnackTools points, a currency you can use to pay for the premium features in all of the SnackTools apps. Click here to learn more about the SnackTools points.

2. NO storage limit per user account

In BannerSnack Beta 3 there won’t be any storage limits per user account, therefore you can upload as many assets as you wish and you can create as many banners as you need.

3. NO more banner size restrictions & NO font restrictions

All BannerSnack users can benefit from all features inside the application, including the custom size feature or the “premium” fonts, which until now, were only available along with a subscription.

4. Dramatically improved transition effects

The way you can browse through the large array of transition effects that you can find in BannerSnack has been improved dramatically. Instead of drop-down lists, you can view animated thumbnails representing the effects. Moreover, each effect category contains lots of presets, that can be used as they are, or they can be customized or created from scratch. All the basic and advanced options regarding the transition effects in BannerSnack are now available for all uses, for free.

5. Roll-over buttons (for interactive banners)

You can now add interactive buttons to your banners. You can make them static or animated and you can assign them button actions, such as link to URL or go to a certain slide. The following button is made using BannerSnack:

You can click it without worry, it won’t link anywhere.

6. In-banner links/multiple links supported

You no longer to use the clickTag parameter to make your banners link to a URL. Moreover, you can include multiple links into a banners, or you can use buttons to link to different slides of the banner for genuine interactivity. The banner below was created with the new BannerSnack:

8. “Undo” is finally available

We finally managed to include the “undo” command into BannerSnack. Now you can work without fearing to make mistakes.

9. SWF filesize dramatically decreased

The new BannerSnack delivers smaller SWF files, as a result of a highly improved optimization algorithm.

10. Improved publishing system

The new BannerSnack offers you a new publishing system that allows you more control over your banners.

11. Unlimited hosting for free banners

There are no more limits for the files you can upload to BannerSnack or the number of banners you can create.

12. Premium services can be purchased now only with SnackTools points

SnackTools points are the only currency you can use to pay for the premium features in all of our apps.

However, you can perform most of the actions within the SnackTools apps without using any point. Actually you can create a full flash banner or a complete photo slideshow without spending a single point. The only situation in which points are required is when you want to publish your work, the final step in each of our apps. More exactly, you will need to pay a few points if you wish to get a watermark-free embed or a download.
